We offer fellowships to postgraduate doctors in several of our sub-specialty services. Some are clinical and will involve surgery, while others involve clinical trials.
We offer medical postgraduate fellowships in the following sub-specialty services at Moorfields:
A&E, Adnexal, Anterior segment, Anaesthetics, Cataract, Glaucoma, Medical retina, Neuro-ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Strabismus and Vitreo-retinal
Fellowships are based either at our main hospital in City Road, or in one of our larger satellite locations: Bedford, Potters Bar, St Ann's, Barking, Loxford, Mile End, St George's, Ealing or Northwick Park.
Fellowships usually last for 12 or 24 months, and are advertised in the British Medical Journal (online and in the magazine) as well as on the NHS Jobs website. The place of work is stated on the job advert. All applications must be submitted via the NHS Jobs website. We do not accept any other method of application.
The criteria for each position is set out in the person specification on the job advert, while the job description will give an idea of what the job will entail and the skills the successful candidate will need. These will differ slightly depending on the department in which the fellowship is being offered.
